Construite au XIIIe siècle, l'église conserve une apparence romane mais offre, à l'intérieur, des solutions architecturales qui relèvent de l'art gothique. Elle est encore pourvue en grande partie de son mobilier d'époques diverses : autels, orgue et tribunes, lutrin du XVe siècle, statuettes en bois doré rappelant la fondation de nombreuses chapelles de confréries.
