Pay a visit to Saint-Bénigne Cathedral in Dijon. This old Gothic abbey church has an exceptional crypt dating from the 10th century. The subterranean remains of a 3-storey rotunda, built in around 1000 CE, under Guillaume de Volpiano, extend beyond the main church which houses the relics of local martyr Bénigne and is decorated with coloured marble and carved capitals. Music lovers will be delighted by the organs.
