Alise-Sainte-Reine, aka Alesia, was the site of the famous battle. Saint Regina, martyred in the third century by a Roman general, is another of its historical figures. With the help of the Interpretation Centre and the orientation table, locate the 52 BC battlefield. On Mount Auxois, a statue of the Gallic heroes was erected in 1865. Did you know that its features were borrowed from Napoleon III?
