Saint-Point-Lamartine castle was a gift to the poet of the same name in 1820. Its architecture was originally for defence, it was then rebuilt in a romanesque gothic style. Throughout your visit, you will penetrate the memories of Alphonse de Lamartine: the poet’s room, the study, the dining room, the living room... until his tomb in the english landscape garden which invites one to take pleasant walks.
