The castle of the Condé was built between 1548 and 1560 by the same architect as the Louvre. Visit the Renaissance section, the medieval ramparts, part of the old castle and the living spaces. An anecdote: all Condé princes and princesses, until one of Louis XIV’s daughters, made a wish to be laid to rest in the castle’s chapel. And the edifice was even visited by 4 French kings!
