Since 1630, our family has been working the land on the slopes of Pouilly sur Loire.
300 years later, André Châtelain began marketing his wines abroad and laid the foundations of our international business. The 30-hectare estate is now managed by the 12th generation of the Châtelain family. We grow AOC Pouilly Fumé vines in six of the seven villages that make up the appellation:
Tracy-sur-Loire, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Mesves-sur-Loire, Saint-Andelain, Saint-Laurent l'Abbaye and Saint-Martin-sur-Nohain
The geographical distribution of the various parcels means we can work with grapes from all the AOC terroirs.
Creative freedom and a meticulous choice of blends enables us to offer a balanced, carefully crafted wine of great character.
As well as hard work and expertise, the wines of the Châtelain estate reflect a love of wine handed down from generation to generation.
