Barge-hotels and cruise boats
Barge-hotels
are wonderful, the most luxurious and comfortable way to explore Burgundy,
its rivers, canals, fine food and wine. The captain will take care of
your every need and prepare excellent meals for his passengers. There
are about twenty such barges plying the waters of Burgundy and cruises
can last from 2 to 7 days. They vary from smaller barges for up to 6 people
to much larger craft for 24 passengers. (There are even some that hold
up to 140 passengers). Cruises usually offer full-board accommodation
and include the cost of excursions, wine cellar tours and visits to other
attractions. Some even include travel to and from Paris.

Excursion boats
Interested
in the canals and rivers of Burgundy? Fancy a trip on one? Excursion boats
offer a very pleasant way of touring this region for a few hours. The
crews of such boats have a passionate interest in their own waterway,
they know all about it and can regale their passengers with surprising
facts, fascinating tales and funny stories. These boats can hold from
6 to 200 passengers. They offer hour long, half day or full day cruises.
On certain boats the cruise may include lunch on board. It is also possible
to arrange a personalized cruise but be aware that some boats only sail
in season.
