Stopover on the Nivernais Canal!

The Nivernais Canal snakes from the centre of Nièvre de St Léger des Vignes-Decize to the medieval city of Clamecy through delightful surroundings. Its path continues in the Yonne to Auxerre. By cycling along the Canal you can discover an incredible site with many works of art, including the locks and lock keepers’ houses, Collancelle vaults or Sardy’s ladder in a pastoral setting where you can fill your lungs with the scents of a wide variety of trees and flowers. Enjoy the peace of a walk along the water and discover the typical villages along your way.

To allow you to discover the Canal as you please, we offer a stay in a 3 keys Clévacances gite located in Montapas, a few kilometres from the Nivernais Canal. This fully renovated, very well-equipped house can sleep 2 or 3 people and with the provision of two mountain bikes, you will have the chance to ride along the Canal on the bike greenway in complete peace or head to the water sports centre at Etangs de Vaux and Baye.
