International D’jazz Days
November 7th to 15th in Nevers
The D'Jazz association has been holding this festival since 1987 to encourage people to discover and enjoy jazz and other improvised music. Performers include young hopefuls, more experienced players and some world famous names. The festival aims to present a panorama of the contemporary jazz scene and to support creativity. Every year the festival offers a week of music with over 25 different groups performing throughout the town

November 13th to 17th in Beaune and surrounding area
The Third Weekend in November is always that of the “3 Glorieuses” one of the highlights of the year in Beaune and Burgundy, a multi-cultural celebration of the wines of Beaune.
From Friday to Sunday - 3 days of celebrations with wine tasting at the famous Hôtel-Dieu as well as in a large number of cellars in town and local winegrowing estates. The pedestrian streets are the scene of much revelry with clowns, automata, parades of people in traditional dress. Pipes and drums are played to see off the hardy contestants taking part in the “Foulées de Beaune” (a kind of mini-marathon).

November in Dijon
Why Note is a modern music festival featuring performances by soloists, instrumental and vocal groups performing music from the 20th and 21st century repertoire. New pieces are often performed, some having been specially commissioned for the festival. The Why Note festival features a majority of young players and composers but is also happy to welcome every year to Dijon a number of well established figures in the modern music scene.
