Last weekend in June in Le Creusot
The Le Creusot Festival is the only large Blues event in Burgundy. It’s been going since 1996 and has grown every year until it is now not only one of the top musical events in the region but one of international importance. It attracts performers of many types of music from many different backgrounds. In the past great performers such as Luther Allison, Lucky Peterson, Carole Fredericks, Andy J Forest, J-J Milteau and Franck Ash have graced its stage, many of whom have played here on several occasions. The festival is a celebration of Blues, Jazz and Gospel music and takes place in the open air in the attractive and welcoming setting of the Parc de la Verrerie.

June in La Charité-sur-Loire
The Festival of Words sets out to arouse people’s interest in language by means of shows, recitals, lectures, organised events, debates, exhibitions, meetings, workshops and games. The magic and power of words will again be the focus of this year’s event, showing by example how to be wary of the speeches of demagogues, to thrill at the words of poets and to discover a host of colourful words from other languages – a joyous celebration of language !
