Restaurant Le Rempart

Traditional flavours in a historic setting.

In southern Burgundy, in Tournus, the town with 4 Michelin-starred chefs, the Quartier Gourmand is ideal for discovering local cuisine. Located in an old medieval residence, this restaurant invites you on a surprising trip back in time.

Classic and refined gastronomy

In Tournus, the Quartier Gourmand serves local cuisine and was awarded a star in the 2013 Michelin Guide. Chef Sylvain Gohier finds his inspiration in the traditions of Burgundy and France.

By choosing a “Gourmet” plan, you’ll enjoy a scallop carpaccio or a Charolais pot-au-feu. With the « Rampart Classics » plan, you’ll enjoy Burgundy escargots in cannelloni, pike quenelles with morels or Bresse chicken. Regarding the “Epicurian” plan, it includes a choice between roast pigeon with wild mushrooms and a Tournedos of milk-fed veal. Finally, the “Surprise” plan varies depending on how the chef is feeling, and you can choose dishes from the menu for the plans.

At the end of the meal, enjoy some cheese from the region or a Grand Marnier soufflé. To enhance your eating experience, the Quartier Gourmand has a selection of Burgundy wines.

A welcoming place with a rich history.

The Quartier Gourmand is located in a 15th century guard house, built on the old Tournus ramparts.

The restaurant’s dining room, with its sculpted columns and exposed stonework, will take you back in time. Decorated with paintings and yellow-gold wall hangings, it provides a warm setting for your meal. You will also appreciate the wooden furniture and intimate lighting.

As soon as the good weather arrives, you’ll also be able to eat out on the pleasant terrace.

This exceptional place serves food, but also has a gîte: Le Rempart is a charming hotel with a meticulous décor in the same buildings.
